WIP Week: Promethium Reactorum VIII

Painting has begun! I've decided to get some posts together over the next week to show you all the progress on the Promethium Reactorum 30K/40K board. This will be a busy week of pictures as I update on the full 12 feet of gaming table. If you check back at the previous Promethium Reactorum posts, you will see the first 6 feet of table as it was developed. After the weekend, I will upload lots of pics of the next 6 feet, which I am very excited to show.

The Promethium reactor cores standing at the ready for shipment across the local sector. So far I have 12 of these painted (see the picutre below for a size comparison to minis), and about 20 others made.

Some scale shots of the pre-primed table with a small 30K clash. At this stage, the basic board was undercoated using Rustoleum flat black spray. After this, I then added lots of additional small details before priming again over these. The sand and grit adds a sense of urban decay as the Reactorum hums with activity prior to the siege.

The hover rail trench provides cover for the advancing automata.

The Imperial buildings above are composed mainly of the old citadel building components, but with some of the gothic features removed. These buildings represent the small Imperial presence at the Reactorum, mainly in place for collecting tithes from the Mechanicum-controlled mountain refineries.

Some of the denizens of the Viatrix inspect the latest promethium reactor cores prior to delivery off planet.
