The Land Raider Crusader known as Eternal Retribution exhibits one of the most relentless machine spirits known to the Legions Astartes, and has a legendary reputation across the Imperium of Man. Having taken part in numerous apocalyptic engagements, Eternal Retribution has taken a grim toll on the enemies of The Angels of Death.
Serving with the Dark Angel's elite first company for more than a millennium, the machine spirit of this ancient Land Raider has developed a grim, but effective attitude. Known among the Deathwing leadership to have taken part in the pursuit of several of the Fallen, Eternal Retribution has more than once been known to instinctively override its techmarine driver in order to accomplish highly unlikely feats.
Whether Eternal Retribution will remain in service to the Deathwing will in large part depend on the evolution of its temperament. Though not spoken freely, some among the Dark Angel's have whispered of a rogue machine spirit, driven by a need for vengeance, and constantly thirsting for vindication.
