Angel Immortalis is the oldest known example of a Spartan Assault tank still in active service to the Emperor of Mankind. How the Dark Angels are able to maintain this ancient relic has never been revealed to outsiders, even in the face of protests from the tech-priests of both Mars and Ryza. The murals that adorn this relic assault tank are recorded to have been ceremonially painted in M32, after Angel Immortalis survived a lone defense as part of the REDACTED along with 4 surviving terminator-armored warriors of the Deathwing.
Angel Immortalis still operates in a highly active battlefield role, transporting the Deathwing across the battlefield when teleportation is not an option. The rugged construction and highly guarded technological wonders of Angel Immortalis also mean the tank is highly guarded in battlefield situations.
